Perhaps No One Noticed

I felt stylish in the outfit I chose to wear to church. Not chic—I don't think I'll ever pull that one off—but cute enough for comment. I don't often feel fashionable and, to be honest, I don't always try. I tend to focus on other things. Every now and then, however, I wake up to what's trending because it catches my eye and suits my taste. Leggings, for instance; I love wearing leggings, scarves and tunic dresses.

Low heeled boots are another example. I have foot problems that prohibit the wearing of high heels but I found these smashing leather kicks to finish my outfit:

Later, as I was shoving the shoes aside on the floor of my closet in order to vacuum up dust bunnies, I noticed that I had forgotten to remove the price tag from the sole of one boot.

     Ooops.

     Perhaps no one noticed.

  1. The first thing that caught my eye on this post on my blog dashboard was the cutesy outfit...then the title. I laughed out loud even before I read it because I knew it was going to be good;-)

BTW, I'm sure you did look chic! this is so nice I might try an imitation, likely in solids because I don't wear floral well. And likely no one will notice that I'm feeling mighty fine(that is originally what I thought you might be alluding to:)but when we're feeling fine it SO doesn't matter if no one notices!!

    1. That bit about feeling mighty fine but no one noticing is familiar landscape to me too and deserving of a whole other blog post. If no one notices your outfit, Janet, it is because they can't get past your beautiful face and smile.

  2. Oops indeed - great outfit, but oh dear a bit of a boo boo with the price tag. I'm sure you carried it off with aplomb :)

  3. You remind me of my daughter asking, as I was kneeling to do something (in company) 'Mummy, why do all your shoes have red crosses on the bottom?' (Reduced price of course!)

  4. Yes, i was definitely caught by that same problem...kneeling at the rail, having communion, and there was the sale sticker..on the bottom of my shoes for all to see.

    1. Learning to laugh at oneself is character building. Cheers to a couple of characters!
