Going Green

Text message from the Passenger in London yesterday: "Am sitting in St Martin-in-the-Fields listening to a string ensemble practice for a Mozart/Vivaldi/Handel concert tonight."

I turned green with envy over my ironing board.

  1. Oh, I am green with envy, too! We were ALMOST able to get in to St. Martin's....wrong place in line. Boo hoo

  2. Doesn't that sound like the perfect thing for a warm summers' evening with maybe a chilled glass of something refreshing. Heaven.

  3. I have been lucky enough to be passing when they were practising and had time to slip inside for a few stolen minutes.

  4. I love it that you're the kind of person who turns green with envy over this, and not over diamonds--or maybe you do?

    1. Not diamonds...the only jewel I have ever loved was the one my husband gave me on our engagement. But I do regularly envy other folks experiences and talents. It is a contained kind of envy that never leaches into resentment and is only assuaged by my ability to extract joy vicariously or diffuse with contentment.
